UMS is an independent 501(c)3 performing arts presenting and educational organization located on the University of Michigan campus in the United States. We exist to promote art and artists, both in-person and digitally, to communities around the world.
Data Collection & Tracking
Through this website, we will collect names and email addresses of those who submit videos or questions. This information is required for submitting a video but will not be added to general email lists for UMS or for Brian Lobel’s projects, unless you wish to be notified about future developments related to the 24 Italian Songs and Arias + Voices project.
Our website may collect aggregated information on what pages users access or visit including, but not limited to, IP address, referring domain, browser type, access date and time. Whenever possible, we use aggregated or anonymous information, which does not identify individual visitors to this website. Additional information volunteered by the user, such as survey information and/or site registrations may also be collected. This information is used to improve the content of our web pages and track overall viewership over time.
The information automatically collected by our web server is not shared with other organizations for commercial purposes.

Email Addresses
Email addresses provided through this website are only used for contacting a user who has submitted a video for inclusion on the site and/or subscription to our email newsletter for the 24 Italian Songs and Arias + Voices project, if requested.
UMS will never sell or distribute e-mail address information.
If you do not want to receive email newsletter subscriptions from us in the future, please let us know by emailing umstix@umich.edu.

From time to time, we may use customer information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If our information practices change at some time in the future, we will post the policy changes to our website to notify you of these changes and provide you with the ability to opt out of these new uses. With respect to security: When we transfer and receive certain types of sensitive information such as financial information, we redirect visitors to a secure server. We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you at our site.
